BSU Meet Two

Well yesterdays meet was pretty interesting. For starters there were 29 schools crammed into one small building. That was horrible, it got very hot and very crowded fast. The best part was that my friend Maggie was there! Which also means that Colton was there. That was so awkward. Just an FYI this post is about the social aspects that went on during the meet and not so much the actual meet stuff.

I'll start with Colton because the rest of it is just weird ... Anyways, Colton was there. I tried to avoid him as best as I could but due to the fact that he long jumps, or maybe it was triple jump I wasn't really paying attention, and that our camp was right next to the pits I saw a lot of him. Also I hung out at Maggie's team's camp and he's on her team. Turns out she doesn't have that high of an opinion of him either. It was really creepy because he kept looking at me, like every chance he got! Then he comes up tp me and accuses me of stalking him! Maggie and I were like "Uh, what?". I told Bailey he was there and she started freaking out because if Max saw him, he'd beat the crap out of Colton. Not that that'd be a bad thing per say... He's such an idiot. Get this: Maggie and I were waiting for her team since they were leaving after the 4x2 when Colton comes up to me and is all like "Hey, it was good to see you today." Which he followed with what I think was supposed to pass as a flirtatious smile and laugh but that really made him look like an idiot. I said something along the lines of,"Yes, because I saw you so much today, and the only time you talked to me was to accuse me of stalking you." The first part was quite heavy with sarcasm, the second part was just more of whatever. He said, "Uh, what? I have no idea what you're talking about." and slowly slunk away while Maggie and I laughed at him. Then he wound up following us out, walking right on top of me. Ugh.

Bailey and Max were laying on their backs using a sports bag as a pillow, looking at Ifunny or funny Facebook pictures and I laid down with them for a bit (Maggie had left) to look at them too. Well after awhile I got bored and got up to leave, but as soon as I tried to walk away Bay pulled me down and told me that I couldn't go I was keeping her warm. Well I did the only thing I could, I laid back down and threw one leg over her body trying to creep her out so that I could leave. It didn't work, we wound up like that for at least an hour. We were in a busy place, so people were almost constantly walking by, and when they would they'd stare. At this point in the day we were used to the stares, we'd been being weird all day and had gotten a lot of look

Timberman Triathlon

Okay, this one really is going to be short. I don't really have much to say besides what's about to be said. So....read on! First off do you know what a triathlon is? Or what the Timberman triathlon is? You don't? Let me explain then. A triathlon is where you swim, bike, and run. You're timed in each event and your transition time (how long it takes you to go from one event to the next) also counts against you. The Timberman is a triathlon held in Grand Rapids MN. It has a long course (mile swim, 26.2 mile bike, and a 10K run. But don't quote me on the bike) and a sprint course (1/3 mile swim, 13.1 mile bike, and a 5K run, but don't quote me on the bike again). It's a fun event put on every year and draws a nice crowd of people from every age and fitness level. I did the short course and this is how it went: Swim The swim was by far my worst event. I did it in my sports bra and spandex shorts (last year I did it in normal shorts and nearly lost them!...

Ummmm......YOLO??

[editor's note: this was actually like two weeks ago, I just hadn't published it] So yesterday we had our second outdoor meet, which was like our fifth meet overall, and it was, ummmm, interesting to say the least. It was really fun, it didn't even feel like an actual meet because it was just so fun. Oh, FYI there'll be a couple random pictures that have nothing to do with yesterday, I just wanted to share them. Though at the same time there'll be some from yesterday. Keep your eyes open and see if you can tell the difference, cause you probably will be able to. It's really not that hard. This is my life Screen shot this gem off of SkierSayWhat First of all, I didn't sleep at all Monday night. Not a freaking wink. I was up all night talking with Max about things that should've been talked about awhile ago, and getting advice/being all philosophical with Tyson, oh and snap chatting Autumn. Then they all eventually went to bed, Max was the last one ...

First distance run in awhile...

KJ was gone today because of the Elite meet, and so he left us with a workout and put Amber in charge. Amber is a student at the college studying to become a physical educator  She's almost, but not quite, an assistant sprinting coach.  Some pictures from the Elite meet. Courtesy of KJ: The workout was just 4 laps with 100 yrd sprints on the straightaways, 10 100s with 40 second rests between. The weight room was locked and since Amber isn't an official coach she doesn't have a key and we couldn't workout. I don't think anyone was sad. That was the earliest the girls sprint team has ever finished. Usually we're the last ones there, because KJ just talks and talks. I decided that since I haven't really been training for the half-marathon well at all since track started that I should probably go for a run. Start gathering some miles up. WORST IDEA EVER, actually that's a lie. I've had worst ones. Like working out with Nick. I...
