SOCIALLY AWKWARD ME!

Last year little freshmen Bailey, Autumn, Grayci, Sara, Bethani, and I were all in agreement that big SENIOR Austin Pohlen  was (and still is) the hottest thing to grace our school. He graduated and we soon forgot about him. Well he's back. With college being over all the graduates are coming home. I ran into him in the weight room and am such an idiot.

I was sick yesterday and decided not to go outside and run in the cold rain. Instead I ran around the school for 20 minutes then hit up the weight room, where I saw him. First I ran out to go and find Bailey (I'll tell you why at the end of the post), and when I couldn't find her decided I should actually work out. After a while I wound up doing plyometric box jumps, when he grabs a mat and asks
"Mind if I do abs next you?" This is what follows:
Me-"Sure."
Him (Jokingly)-"Just don't fall on me! Haha"
Me-"Only on purpose" (A few seconds pass) "OMG!! I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT AT ALL!!!!"
Him (You can't even replicate the look he had on his face)-"Umm...Ya" (He looked so uncomfortable)
Me-"Forget I ever said anything"
Him-"I'm just not going to lay down"
END SCENE

If you know me, you'd know that when I do something on accident (ie. step on the back of your shoe) I'll say, "Oh, sorry that was on purpose". Which was what I meant, but I realized he doesn't really know me...I'm so awkward.

MEMORY LANE
Here are some fun memories that include Austin:
I had some friends last year who were seniors and their table was by mine, so obviously I'd sit over there and talk every now and then. Well one day I sat in Austin's seat while he was off getting his lunch, though at the time I didn't know it was his seat. He came back, looked at me and sat at my table in my seat. Fedje told me I was in his seat, so I got up to leave, but he refused to leave my table! Instead he sits practically on Bailey, and starts going on about how he hopes she feels better (she was sick).  So he ate lunch with freshmen and I ate lunch with seniors. Apparently he was pissy the rest of the day.
One day at lunch there were only three chairs at my table, forcing some of us to either split a seat or sit on the floor. Bailey was on of the ones on the floor. Austin sees and says that he'll get us chairs. He leaves for about five minutes, and when he comes back he has one chair. Which he gives to Bailey. That and the above incident got him labeled as Bailey's Best Friend.
Prom. What I did was (according to Bailey) mean, horrible, and caused her to chase me from the Civic Center to my house, where upon catching up to me she talked me to the ground and punched me. :)
Friendship. Here's what happened; It was the night of Prom, and a bunch of us went  to watch the Grand March. Afterwards we were going around telling people we knew how pretty they looked and what not when I caught a glance of Austin up in the window thingy. I did what anyone would do. See when he walked down the aisle Bailey and I went on about how cute and attractive he was in his tux. Can you guess what happened next? Yes, I told him that she thought he looked really good in his tux and had a crush on him (we all did). She didn't think it was as funny as myself and others found it. (But he did say she was cute. Which she is!)

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed!!

Timberman Triathlon

Okay, this one really is going to be short. I don't really have much to say besides what's about to be said. So....read on! First off do you know what a triathlon is? Or what the Timberman triathlon is? You don't? Let me explain then. A triathlon is where you swim, bike, and run. You're timed in each event and your transition time (how long it takes you to go from one event to the next) also counts against you. The Timberman is a triathlon held in Grand Rapids MN. It has a long course (mile swim, 26.2 mile bike, and a 10K run. But don't quote me on the bike) and a sprint course (1/3 mile swim, 13.1 mile bike, and a 5K run, but don't quote me on the bike again). It's a fun event put on every year and draws a nice crowd of people from every age and fitness level. I did the short course and this is how it went: Swim The swim was by far my worst event. I did it in my sports bra and spandex shorts (last year I did it in normal shorts and nearly lost them!...

Ummmm......YOLO??

[editor's note: this was actually like two weeks ago, I just hadn't published it] So yesterday we had our second outdoor meet, which was like our fifth meet overall, and it was, ummmm, interesting to say the least. It was really fun, it didn't even feel like an actual meet because it was just so fun. Oh, FYI there'll be a couple random pictures that have nothing to do with yesterday, I just wanted to share them. Though at the same time there'll be some from yesterday. Keep your eyes open and see if you can tell the difference, cause you probably will be able to. It's really not that hard. This is my life Screen shot this gem off of SkierSayWhat First of all, I didn't sleep at all Monday night. Not a freaking wink. I was up all night talking with Max about things that should've been talked about awhile ago, and getting advice/being all philosophical with Tyson, oh and snap chatting Autumn. Then they all eventually went to bed, Max was the last one ...

First distance run in awhile...

KJ was gone today because of the Elite meet, and so he left us with a workout and put Amber in charge. Amber is a student at the college studying to become a physical educator  She's almost, but not quite, an assistant sprinting coach.  Some pictures from the Elite meet. Courtesy of KJ: The workout was just 4 laps with 100 yrd sprints on the straightaways, 10 100s with 40 second rests between. The weight room was locked and since Amber isn't an official coach she doesn't have a key and we couldn't workout. I don't think anyone was sad. That was the earliest the girls sprint team has ever finished. Usually we're the last ones there, because KJ just talks and talks. I decided that since I haven't really been training for the half-marathon well at all since track started that I should probably go for a run. Start gathering some miles up. WORST IDEA EVER, actually that's a lie. I've had worst ones. Like working out with Nick. I...
