Day 1 of my Last Semester

Oh my goodness, it's only 1:30 and it's already been a really long day. How?? Well let me explain. Or complain. It all depends on how you view it I suppose.

Okay, so first of all I'm like super tired because I had race Saturday (the Mesabi East invite) and then it was Robin's last day in the states so we stayed up so so late hanging out. Well Sunday morning we had to get up really early to get him to the airport, after which I had to get back to town, run home, and go to mysl. Mysl stands for Minnesota Youth Ski League. So I was teaching little kids ski skills. It was a lot of fun. Minus the fact that I forgot gloves and it was really cold out and my hands were numb well into the night... Well then Sunday night I could not fall asleep. I was so tired but no matter what I could not sleep. Until around 3 am that is. Then I had to get up at 6.
Now why did I have to get up at 6? Cause I had an early meeting with Rick! Yes, we had to figure out my class schedule because there was a mix up and I wound up. It being signed up for classes at all. Well we fixed it and I went to go get my books.
After waiting in line for a literal eternity I get up there, I give her my schedule and she gets my books. End of story, right? Wrong. Turns out, I wasn't on the list of pseo students. I wasn't even an actual student. I wound hunting a lady named Connie, who told me that I didn't turn in my state form. Which I did turn in back in November. As eloquently as possible I informed her of this. Turns out I did turn it in! She just hadn't seen it. So I got put on the list and had to go wait in line again to get my books.
Well from there I went to my new classes. First up was abnormal psychology, then creative writing, and lastly cal 1.
After calc I raced to Marlo's office to beg to be put into her human growth and development class, even though it was full. Thankfully she agreed, and told me class was at 2. In one hour. So I ran to Rick's  office where I waited in line to tell him I got in. After some paperwork and computer stuff he printed off my new schedule, stamped it, and sent me off in search of my new books.
Which two and half eternitys of line waiting to get. But I got them without a hitch this time. Now I have five minutes left before my new class and it feels good to just sit. Now if only I had some food... Apparently skittles and water aren't very filling!

Okay, well I'm off to go learn stuff! Well read a syllabus... Thanks for reading!! I'll try to post more often!! Especially since I now have it on my iPod, I should post more!!

Timberman Triathlon

Okay, this one really is going to be short. I don't really have much to say besides what's about to be said. So....read on! First off do you know what a triathlon is? Or what the Timberman triathlon is? You don't? Let me explain then. A triathlon is where you swim, bike, and run. You're timed in each event and your transition time (how long it takes you to go from one event to the next) also counts against you. The Timberman is a triathlon held in Grand Rapids MN. It has a long course (mile swim, 26.2 mile bike, and a 10K run. But don't quote me on the bike) and a sprint course (1/3 mile swim, 13.1 mile bike, and a 5K run, but don't quote me on the bike again). It's a fun event put on every year and draws a nice crowd of people from every age and fitness level. I did the short course and this is how it went: Swim The swim was by far my worst event. I did it in my sports bra and spandex shorts (last year I did it in normal shorts and nearly lost them!...

Ummmm......YOLO??

[editor's note: this was actually like two weeks ago, I just hadn't published it] So yesterday we had our second outdoor meet, which was like our fifth meet overall, and it was, ummmm, interesting to say the least. It was really fun, it didn't even feel like an actual meet because it was just so fun. Oh, FYI there'll be a couple random pictures that have nothing to do with yesterday, I just wanted to share them. Though at the same time there'll be some from yesterday. Keep your eyes open and see if you can tell the difference, cause you probably will be able to. It's really not that hard. This is my life Screen shot this gem off of SkierSayWhat First of all, I didn't sleep at all Monday night. Not a freaking wink. I was up all night talking with Max about things that should've been talked about awhile ago, and getting advice/being all philosophical with Tyson, oh and snap chatting Autumn. Then they all eventually went to bed, Max was the last one ...

First distance run in awhile...

KJ was gone today because of the Elite meet, and so he left us with a workout and put Amber in charge. Amber is a student at the college studying to become a physical educator  She's almost, but not quite, an assistant sprinting coach.  Some pictures from the Elite meet. Courtesy of KJ: The workout was just 4 laps with 100 yrd sprints on the straightaways, 10 100s with 40 second rests between. The weight room was locked and since Amber isn't an official coach she doesn't have a key and we couldn't workout. I don't think anyone was sad. That was the earliest the girls sprint team has ever finished. Usually we're the last ones there, because KJ just talks and talks. I decided that since I haven't really been training for the half-marathon well at all since track started that I should probably go for a run. Start gathering some miles up. WORST IDEA EVER, actually that's a lie. I've had worst ones. Like working out with Nick. I...
