The other day my coworkers and I were talking about bucket lists and things we want to do and/or accomplish in life. The conversation got me thinking about my own bucket list and how I haven't had an official one since high school, and so I promised Stacey I would re-make mine. Fifty or so items down and I thought it would be fun to have a blog some day, which reminded me - I had one back in the day. After an hour of searching I finally came across this embarrassing gem of blog. Nearly seven years later, I guess it's time for an update.     Since I last wrote I have: Graduated high school and from ICC Attended and Graduated from CSS with two bachelors, one is Psychology and one in Exercise Physiology Quit skiing Raced 8 half marathons, 3 marathons, a couple ski marathons, and 4 triathlons I moved to Texas and then New York Traveled to Europe alone at 18 Fallen in love and had my heart broken Adopted Kissa, and then adopted Gato with my boyfriend Started grad school Somewhat

Why would you suggest such a thing??

Okay so, I fell in love with St. Scholastica the first time I toured it. I mean it's hard not to, the school is a castle! Everything I saw I loved and the more I learned the more in love I fell! I liked the school so much, that even when the tour guide said they didn't have a ski team, I still liked it. That winter I found out they really do have a ski team, and a good one at that, and my obsession with the school was complete.  St. Scholastica has been my top choice school for over two years now and I'm excited to say that I've been accepted there!! Not only will I be there studying physical therapy, but I'll also be skiing for them on the developmental team!! They have an amazing physical therapy program and I'm really excited that they think I'm academically acceptable for their program haha. I'm going to have to make sure to constantly study.  Instead of getting a dorm I'll just set up shop in the library! Speaking of which, their library is amaz

FREAKING KLISTER

Today we had our first pursuit race of the season. A pursuit is when you race two 5ks in one day- one of each technique. How you placed in the first race sets you up for where you start in the second. The first one to cross the finish line in the second race is the winner. For the most part it went pretty well. Let's break down the day shall we?       Hans and Charlie chilling pre-race The day started off with a two hour delay due to icy road conditions so the ski team hung out at the Duluth mall causing havoc as usual.                 Those JV racers!! We arrived at the meet and immediately set forth complaining. Conditions were questionable and temps were climbing! We were pretty crabby about that and the fact that we racing a pursuit that didn't even start until 1, so not much recovery time between racing. As we were changing we discovered that three of us have matching mysterious knee bruises. It's just like two dots and it's so weird cause we don't know where t

Day 1 of my Last Semester

Oh my goodness, it's only 1:30 and it's already been a really long day. How?? Well let me explain. Or complain. It all depends on how you view it I suppose.  Okay, so first of all I'm like super tired because I had race Saturday (the Mesabi East invite) and then it was Robin's last day in the states so we stayed up so so late hanging out. Well Sunday morning we had to get up really early to get him to the airport, after which I had to get back to town, run home, and go to mysl. Mysl stands for Minnesota Youth Ski League. So I was teaching little kids ski skills. It was a lot of fun. Minus the fact that I forgot gloves and it was really cold out and my hands were numb well into the night... Well then Sunday night I could not fall asleep. I was so tired but no matter what I could not sleep. Until around 3 am that is. Then I had to get up at 6.  Now why did I have to get up at 6? Cause I had an early meeting with Rick! Yes, we had to figure out my class schedule because th

I'm back baby!

Okay, so it's been a couple of months since I was last around and blogging stuff about stuff that happens. I apologize, stuff's been busy and hectic and I just haven't had time. But I'm here now, so enjoy lol. I'll make this post quick, and add others later that farther let you know what's been going on. I know!! This one will just be a quick over view of everything, and then I'll explain some of them better, or maybe I won't. We'll see I suppose! Track: Ah, the end of the track season was a mighty one! Ugh, there was this one track meet that was absolutely horrendous. The meet itself was fun, but it's what happened at the end that colored the meet in shades of black. The meet was a close one for girls' teams. It was us versus another team (I've long since forgotten), and it all came down to the 4x400 (not really, there were still other events waiting to be scored). The two teams went a little crazy....We both had giant flags, and bef

HA! FUNNY STORY!!

And by funny story, I mean not even close. It was the most stressful night of my life, holy Hell. I was literally considering death and/or packing up and moving away in the middle of the night. Okay, so what had happened was that Thursday morning my final paper for composition II. The paper I've been doing research on all semester. The research that is all on my laptop. Along with my paper. The computer that was mistakenly taken the day before my paper was due. See why it was stressful? Yeah, it gets better. Eventually. Somewhat. Autumn and Sara Snapchatting me I didn't freak out at first, because I just assumed it'd turn up. That's how things generally go with me, something happens I freak out or worry and then it turns out that it was stupid to freak out. So I didn't, until later. When it still hadn't shown up and no one could find it. It was bad. I seriously started crying. A lot. I was texting my friend Robin and I feel so bad for him! Having to put u

Ummmm......YOLO??

[editor's note: this was actually like two weeks ago, I just hadn't published it] So yesterday we had our second outdoor meet, which was like our fifth meet overall, and it was, ummmm, interesting to say the least. It was really fun, it didn't even feel like an actual meet because it was just so fun. Oh, FYI there'll be a couple random pictures that have nothing to do with yesterday, I just wanted to share them. Though at the same time there'll be some from yesterday. Keep your eyes open and see if you can tell the difference, cause you probably will be able to. It's really not that hard. This is my life Screen shot this gem off of SkierSayWhat First of all, I didn't sleep at all Monday night. Not a freaking wink. I was up all night talking with Max about things that should've been talked about awhile ago, and getting advice/being all philosophical with Tyson, oh and snap chatting Autumn. Then they all eventually went to bed, Max was the last one
